LABORATORY AND QUALITY CONTROL

Laboratory and quality control play vital roles in ensuring the quality and safety of final products. The Laboratory and Quality Control Department of Pars Parand Hayan Factory evaluates and tests raw materials, the production process, and the final product to ensure that the barrels are manufactured to the required standards and are suitable for use. We test and review products in three stages: raw material control, production process tests, and final product tests.

After testing and inspection, the results are recorded and documented so that they can be used to prove quality and compliance with standards, if necessary. Barrel factories are usually committed to international standards such as ISO and local standards, and laboratory reports must be available for periodic audits and reviews.

Together, these processes ensure that the metal barrels produced have the necessary quality and safety for various industrial applications and do not cause problems when used by customers.

Raw material control

  • Inspection of sheet metal: The metal used to produce the barrel body should be checked for mechanical properties such as strength, flexibility, and corrosion resistance. This is usually done using mechanical and chemical tests.
  • Coatings and Paints: Some barrels use corrosion-resistant coatings and special paints to resist environmental and chemical agents. These coatings must be suitable for adhesion, uniformity, and strength.

Production process tests

  • Welding Test: Metal barrels usually require welding to connect the various parts. Tests such as leak testing or non-destructive testing (NDT) are performed to ensure the quality of the weld and the absence of cracks or cavities at the weld site.
  • Dimensions and Measurements: All parts must be checked for exact dimensions and sizes to ensure that they fit together correctly and that the final barrel has standard volume and dimensions.
  • Sealing: In barrels that require sealing, it should be checked that the sealants are applied properly and that there are no leaks.

Final product tests

  • Leak test: One of the most important tests is the leak test. In this test, the barrels are pressurized using air or water and inspected to ensure no leaks.
  • Mechanical strength test: Barrels must withstand various weights and pressures. Tests such as drop and hydrostatic tests are performed to evaluate the mechanical strength of barrels.
  • Temperature tolerance test: In cases where barrels are used to transport materials at high or low temperatures, they should also be tested for temperature resistance.
  • Coating and paint testing: Coatings must be re-examined for uniformity and adhesion in the final product. The coatings’ resistance to environmental factors such as moisture and chemicals is also checked.
